Solidarity Notes will be singing about 1 pm.

In the lead up to the release of the Rental Task Force recommendations and the new city council’s first day in office, join the Vancouver Tenants Union in solidarity with the ‘renovictim’ tenants from Berkeley Tower, and other affordable buildings, where owners are trying to kick tenants out and get higher paying renters in.

Let’s make some noise and up the pressure on both levels of government to Ban Renovictions!

▶ Learn how landlords get rid of tenants, so they can change affordable housing into luxury housing.
▶ Expose companies hired to renovict before tenants are aware of their rights.
▶ Learn what governments can do to protect tenants and save affordable housing.
▶ Hear stories of tenants about being renovicted.
▶ Hear Vivian Baumann, a fiesty tenant fighting her renoviction against the landlord lobby group at the Supreme Court on the morning of Friday Nov 9th.

Bring pots and pans and your anti-renoviction signs.
